James B. Childs - Coaching Services

performance = potential – interference
Coaching is about helping to fill in these variables. A coach is a partner in your development and in your improved performance.

Staying open, curious, and committed to learning is a posture that actually defies the closed, competitive culture of our society. Getting to and remaining in such a space is all the more challenging for leaders, as there is a heightened expectation and heavily skewed focus towards producing.

But what if “doing,” became secondary to “being?” What if the competitive grind for output and productivity at all costs wasn’t the goal? What if the competitive, cut-throat, climb-over, blame-casting culture was replaced by the embrace of full personal responsibility for all of the circumstances of your life? What impact could you have if you were a leader who prioritized your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being over “well-doing?”

Enter James B. Childs. James is an executive coach who will help catalyze your transformation by maximizing YOU. That maximization happens as James partners with you to forge congruence between who you are and and who you want to be, helping you to identify and practice the behaviors necessary to get you there. A by-product of such alignment inevitably removes the interference that blocks your full potential, ultimately bolstering your performance in a manner that is consistent with your personal values.

James brings to his coaching practice over 25 years of working with leaders to leverage their abilities, position, and experience with the goal of creating spaces that bring out the best in those they serve as leader. With experience in myriad sectors including tech, financial services, academia, and nonprofits, James’ extensive background enables him to adeptly help those who have a desire to increase their effectiveness with growingly diverse teams, to develop those who themselves may be from under-represented groups, and to help guide those with limited exposure looking to broaden their knowledge and perspective.

The work undertaken with James will help to improve communication skills, increase self-esteem, self-confidence, increase productivity, optimize individual/team work performance, improved work/life balance, increased overall well-being, and position you for expanded professional career opportunities.
